INSPIRED ERROR: new phrase among JW CO
by wannaexit inthere is no end to their madness.
the co gave a talk on inspired error.
i have never heard of it.
-

1. The MEDIA: articles in the newspaper about Jw's are not truth, what they say on the internet about jw is not the truth. These are inspired expressions of error. Stay away from newspapers and news on the internet. Unless you read something flattering about JW's .....then what the media says, is true.
2. HIGHER EDUCATION: Some associated to congregations feel that if you want to be successful you need higher education-Inspired error because you are not putting the kingdom first. You will have to study and miss meetings therefore this is an inspired error to be avoided at all cost. However, if you have a higher education, you will be more likely to be given a special assignment at Bethel instead of cleaning toilets.
3. IF YOU SAY: the end is coming but not in my lifetime---inspired error. Can't say that because the end can come at any moment. Yes, the end could come one day but the rest of the time, it doesn't.

Have you ever had your oven door explode?
by Ucantnome inthe other day the glass in my oven door exploded and sent glass into the next room, fortunately i wasn't peering in at the time.
about a year go the previous oven door shattered one morning.
the oven was cold.

That only happened once when I used Gun Powder instead of Baking Powder.
Seriously though, I'd Google the make and model of your oven or look at the manufacturers website to see if there's been some kind of problem with your stove or maybe a recall. That could have ruined your whole day !

Should I be mad?
by kairos ini've been df'd for about six weeks now.no one has broken the obligation to "honor the disfellowshipping decree".that's the way notorious co paul kohler describes the "loving arrangement" that is jw shunning.
( just "serving" napa ).
so, my wife's family has been "loving me" ( barf ) when out of nowhere, one of them sends home homemade soup for me.... well, i got super pissed.
-
Pete Zahut
Wasn't the edict not to so much as "break bread" with an unbeliever? I'm guessing that was meant to include slurping soup as well.
Seems like they are trying to communicate with you in the form of gifts of food. It sends a mixed message. "You're to evil to talk to but we'll be nice and send you some soup and you should be grateful about it "

What if the increased knowledge leads you to realize that you've been scammed? -

Tough Day & wanting to escape
by Olivia Wilde inso today after my workout at the gym, i was driving away from the parking lot, notice 2 witnesses on the sidewalk with their witness cart, one older man with a young female, related?
not sure but as i drove away it finally hit me, all this buildup & staying strong since my awakening finally hit me .... just crying & saw my life flashing before my eyes just couldn't keep myself strong anymore, especially thinking of my child & other things happening in my life currently, which are hitting reality...... i came home & had a conversation with my son about our weekly mtgs, we have missed the ms mtgs for a few times/days in a row now, does anyone check on us?
... anyway i finally told him that for the time being mommy needs to figure out some things with god & jesus first & for the time being won't be making the ms mtgs & will be doing our bible study at home... thankfully he understands & just told him that god understands how i feel & is ok with it.... it's difficult to feel alone in this, i feel broken with the other things happening in my life, not wt or jw related, & just want to escape & run away, i don't have many friends & my non jw family is not a close family, we were never close, & i feel like i don't have anyone to talk to.... people that know me & interact with me have no clue the turmoil i'm going thru inside, i pretend like nothing is wrong with my life .

That's OK Olivia, it's a process. The road from where you were and to where you want to be, isn't a straight one. You're bound to hit a few bumps and unexpected curves now and then.
The things that bother us are often only as bothersome as we let them be. When I'm having a tough day, I remember the acronym H.A.L.T. it stands for Hungry Angry Lonely Tired. If I am any one of those 4 things, I try to ignore (Halt) any negative thoughts and emotions I may be experiencing and put off thinking about my problems until I've taken care of myself.
I'm glad to hear you are a gym goer. Exercise is often the best thing we can do when we are experiencing a rough patch. Meetings, studying and all the rest of it are meant to build us up rather than weigh us down. You know instinctively when someone else's version of "enough" is too much for you.
Take it easy....your life isn't an emergency and tomorrow is a new day.

I still get emotional about the "truth" .....even though I know it's all lies...what is wrong with me????
by Witness 007 inmy mum is doing kemo and i have gone to many meetings at my old hall and brothers have said how they remember my old talks how good they were (ass kiss) and i still feel emotional even though i know 100% it is lies, funny human mind did i do it all for personal pats on the back and self esteem....yes i did i was a loser who needed some luv.

That which we hold on to at an emotional level is not easily changed and it's only natural to like, enjoy and even crave the warmth that others have to offer especially in trying times.
All the best to you and your Mom.

So sick of the abuse...
by iwasblind ini am still serving as an elder but just hanging in there.
i think their quandry is that they don't see me out in the field, but when they need encouragement and decent prayer they come to me.. i just got off the phone to this poor sister who i have only met twice.
she is not even in my congregation (her sister is).

A reminder that God's grace is with you no matter what.....what a wonderful thing for this sister to hear coming from someone in a trusted position at a time when she was feeling so utterly broken.
When I was at my worst with anxiety, the elder I went to told me to read the book of Job and be inspired by Jobs strength in the face of despair. Reading the book of Job in my frame of mind was possibly the worst advice I was ever given.
It's a shame that Men like you Iwasblind, are driven away when it is discovered that they would rather err on the side of love and kindness than follow a set of hard and fast bureaucratic rules.
It reminds me of when the immature and prideful Disciples were ready to throw the book at the sinful Prostitute who washed Jesus feet, while Jesus himself, although he was God's Son, was far less concerned with the rules and instead was kind and loving to her and she went away from him wanting to do better.
This is the reason people from miles around, turn to you when they are hurting....the word is out !

Intriguing - but Unsubstantiated!
by The Searcher inaccording to one source on a western european 'apostate' website, the org's plan is to abandon the name "jehovah's witnesses" in the future, and replace it with "worshippers of jehovah.".

the gist of the account appears to be a repeat of rutherford's re-branding and debunking of old predictions made by the previous shower of fakers.

Just some thoughts on this:
- I read on this site that the late Daniel Sydlik admitted in a moment of frustration regarding some of the old dates and beliefs that he'd like to throw the whole religion out and start all over. Maybe this is the only way to finally rip the bandage off despite the short term pain it would cause.
- They could change their name, just like they did way back when they were Russelites and International Bible Students and eventually people will forget they ever existed, the same way most young JW's today know nothing about (or even care) about1975, Malawi or Beth Sarim etc.
- They could stop printing the Watchtower altogether and keep the more recent issues around for refrences or simply change the magazines name just like they did when it used to be Zions Herald or Golden Age.
- They're called Jehovah's Witnesses now even though their website is called JW.org. so they could easily change their name and still keep the website name the same as it is and it wouldn't make that much of a difference.
- This name change does seem to explain why they are making dire warnings about trusting the GB and why they are leaving their well established "Watchtower" presence in New York City and moving to a remote location with a giant new complex. It would be easier for them to fade out the old and start over somewhere new with a new name and corporation, where they are less known. It also would explain why they are purging themselves of Bethelites . It might make it easier to start with a whole new crew instead of dealing with the ones who are resentful of the changes.
- Changing the name to Worshipers of Jehovah would eliminate that annoying tendency people have of leaving the plural off of the current name by calling them Jehovah Witness . They'll likely end up being referred to as the Jehovah Worshipers which sounds even weirder. "Shut the curtains Ethel...here comes the Jehovah Worshipers"

German-speakers can reveal the other changes presented.
Jehovah's Witnesses there will be no more Everything will change Gatto 9 July 2015 The Kingdom Ministry of September 2015 is published , I realized that the box " Outstanding aspects of sermon service " has disappeared . So the growth data is now actually not exactly comforting ? They had already removed the monthly report with all exact dates and had replaced it with a unverifiable comment , now they have it completely removed - hm .
I correct myself . In Kingdom Ministry in English of the box , but there is , in the Italian language is not - funny. Berto July 13, 2015 Good Morning. I know most of my life a brother , very spiritually-minded , an anointed missionary , he personally knows some of the Governing Body , ie one who could possibly these include time itself . He is not in Italy . Recently, he has joyfully laughing something told me that I did not know whether he was joking or whether I should sit down and cry. He said , Look At JW.org
the books, the magazines on, everything we have published in the past few years and for whom we have published it. Ultimately, we only produce material for families. For the WTG, the preacher of the 20th century, you automatically deactivate the reputation of the tutors (according to him the future name of the preacher with the trolley) of JW.org. One no longer preach the Kingdom, helping the families. The end, when it will come, it will come halt. Immediately after the completion of Warwick, we will change the name (so he said) in organizing the worshipers of Jehovah (Yahweh Worshipers Organisation, abbreviated JW.org ). All think it's just the name of the site. They did not get it (so he thought), why they publish this on so exaggerated way: it is our new name (as he thinks). The Watchtower will be replaced in his opinion gradually through the Christian congregation of Jehovah's worshipers (Christian Congregation of Jehovah Worshipers). The Watchtower Library will be replaced by the JW-Library (which will not contain any publication before 2000) and there will be prompted to destroy all copies (that seems already obvious). It is only a magazine style Young People Ask publish - as he said.
The public lectures will be replaced by means of observations live from JW Broadcasting in the halls ( which is quasi already handled ) . In his opinion, this whole move of the headquarters only has the purpose to create a distance to what the Jehovah's Witnesses , to raise up the organization of the worshipers of Jehovah out of the ashes and forgetting 1914 generation . So to speak, " the not we have said , these were the Jehovah's Witnesses . We are something else entirely. " All these appointments , changes and so prepare the ground just before the big announcement . He wants to escape , has said that he does not participate since . If he wanted to take me in his arms ? I do not know why I wanted to tell you that, but I had to tell it to anyone . It's too much , to keep it for me .
